What Is Special about Limon
Limon is on the Caribbean coast and with a mild year-round temperature of about 77 degrees. It is home to Tortuguero National Park where you can kayak and explore the plethora of wildlife which includes manatees, monkeys, aviary species and turtles. Limon features open-air markets, health care, restaurants, and a few museums.
What Is Not Special about Limon
In order to have lush rainforests, you have to expect a lot of rain, and Limon gets a lot of rain-about 100 inches annually. The coastline here is dedicated to shipping ports and cruise ships so the beautiful beaches are a couple of miles from the town.
